Hans Braker started as a self-employed investment consultant on 1 January 2005. He specialises in performance measurement. Hans also serves as an investment adviser to pension funds, until 2011 mainly through his former employer Aon Consulting (currently Aon Hewitt).
Hans’ core business is the auditing and verification of performance calculations. He verified many internal calculations by pension funds and investment companies, as well as calculations by external parties.
One specific area of interest is the correct specification and calculation of performance related fees. Hans supported a variety of pension funds in specifying the clauses agreed upon verbally. He verified several performance calculations carried out by external investment managers. In most of these cases, Hans could show that the initial calculations were not in accordance with the agreement and should be adjusted.
Hans was a trustee of the pension fund for dentists, Stichting Pensioenfonds Tandartsen en Tandarts-specialisten, as well as for the pension fund in the travel industry, Stichting Bedrijfstakpensioenfonds voor de Reisbranche.
